... are you concerned about our disappearing landfill sites and feel that you should be doing more about recycling your waste?

... has your waste collection been cut to every other week? (or will it soon be?)

... is your food waste rotting in a wheelie bin or plastic bag and attracting rats?

... are you facing the prospect of having to pay extra to have your waste taken away?

... have you been told you can't compost cooked food and meat?

then this machine is the answer to your problems and composting concerns - without worms or chemicals!

You don't have to be a keen a gardener to compost all your cooked and uncooked food scraps (including meat and fish) and other biological waste (in fact, you don't even need a garden!). The Jora composters work all year round, even in the winter, quicker than you thought possible, with the minimum of fuss and mess (and no bad smells).

And all the Jora products are true composting machines. Whatever you put in them, the result is a finished compost ready to use on the garden.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***

We have taken delivery of the new model JK125 and JK270, and also the JK400 which is ideally suited for small businesses. The design of these has been changed to make filling and emptying much easier - see pictures below.

The new machine operates on exactly the same principle as the previous one. The principle difference is the split lid, which does away with the 'blanking piece' used on the older models.
The plastic side vents are no longer necessary and a higher-density polyethylene insulation material has been used to eliminate shrinkage problems.

A higher stand is available as an optional extra for both the JK125 and JK270. If you don't have a suitable wall to hang the machine on you are still able to get a wheelbarrow underneath using this high stand. Note that this is an extra - should you purchase this in addition to the regular machine you will get the smaller stand as well.

Note: if you have one of the older models, this high stand will fit it.

The JK400 is new to the market and ideally suited to small businesses. It operates on exactly the same principles as the JK125 and JK270. It has the capacity of up to 3 JK270s and can still be operated manually - although a large handle is provided in order to give the leverage necessary to turn the machine when it is full.

All the Jora products are true composting machines. Whatever you put in them, the result is a finished compost ready to use on the garden.

Please note that we still have some of the old model JK270s available at a reduced price.

...the JK 5100 community composter

The JK5100 composter operates on similar principles to the much smaller JK270, but is fully automated and capable of handling large volumes of waste on a daily basis up to a maximum of 100 litres / 50 kg per day - 700 litres / 350 kg per week.

Suitable for schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, housing associations, local authorities, etc. Over 700 of these composters are in operation in Sweden and other countries of Europe. Click on the picture to find out more...(and to watch the video, click on the link a bit further down the page.) There are several in operation throughout the UK, from Scotland to the South of England.

The JK 5100 is a true composting machine - No matter what type of waste goes in, the product does not require any further finishing after it comes out. The compost can be used straight from the machine directly onto vegetable plots, planted areas, etc., as a soil improver or mulch.

...the "Ridan" continuous composter

The "Ridan" composter is simple to operate - waste (and carbon source) goes at one end, the wheel is turned, and a paddle arrangement moves the mixture a little bit further down towards the outlet at the other end. Once the process is underway and the machine is full, composted waste will automatically be ejected into the bucket every time the wheel is turned.

Note: depending on the waste stream, the end product may not be suitable for immediate use and will then need to be stockpiled for a few weeks before it can be used. Capacity is about 300 litres / 150 kg per week.
